About Us
BÜSİBER (Boğaziçi University Management Information Systems Cyber Security Center) was established within the Information Systems Research Center on December 1, 2016. We approach cybersecurity from technical, social science, and business perspectives. The center aims to raise awareness of cybersecurity and personal data protection from an academic viewpoint and to help bridge the gap in qualified human resources needed in the country, in addition to conducting academic research. We organize cyber camps for university students as part of our social responsibility efforts and work to enhance cybersecurity resilience in both public and private sectors through our cybersecurity services and consultancy. International cybersecurity certifications prove our expertise. We have provided free cybersecurity training to over 1,000 young people through 13 events, including our summer and winter camps. Additionally, we have completed an EU Erasmus+ project.
International Studies: Our EU Project
We took our national studies abroad with the European Union Project that we conducted. Our project, "RECYPHER Rethinking Cybersecurity in Pakistan: Human factors’ Essential Role" was accepted among the European Union Erasmus+ projects. It was selected from over 1000 projects and started in 2020. In addition to Boğaziçi University, our partners include Saarland University from Germany, the Pakistan National Cyber Security Center, and affiliated universities. (https://recypher.eu/)
